The “AIR series” is the final step of our research. Under the “AIR series” we aimed to perform big randomized clinical trial definitively changing clinical practice. The AIR STEMI trial is the perfect example. After many trials comparing culprit-only vs. complete revascularization, angio-guidance vs. physio-guidance, multivessel intervention vs. staged PCI, the AIR STEMI trial tries with an adequate power and simple study design to close one open question: Is physio-guidance better than angio-guidance?
